Zu Zu
Bacardi in Mexico had become so ubiquitous that people had forgotten it was there. We created a disruptive campaign declaring that “Zu Zu”, a made-up word that represents your “spirit”, was dead and alive, that you should believe and not believe in it. Mexicans were mystified, intrigued and it was the talk of the country for months. Consumers got to rediscover Bacardi. We were outlawed not once but twice and sales went through the roof. We shot this campaign with Ellen Von Unwerth.
